Japan: A strong earthquake hit the northeast

A powerful earthquake struck northeastern Japan, a full month after the devastating earthquake and tsunami.
7.1 earthquake triggered a brief tsunami warning, forcing the evacuation of disabled workers, Fukushima nuclear power plant.
The earthquake epicenter was in Fukushima Prefecture, in one of only 10 km (six miles) deep hit.
Japan also announced that, because of radiation concerns surrounding the extension of nuclear power plant evacuation area.
Japan's first nuclear power plant in Fukushima cooling system in the last month, was to destroy the disaster. The workers have been several efforts to prevent overheating of the reactor, and to avoid large-scale release of radiation.
The plant operator, Tokyo Electric Power said the power used to pump water cooled reactor was cut short three damage, but early indications are that the facility did not suffer any further damage.
The area around it will be expanded to include beyond the existing 20 km (12 miles) radius of the five communities, the following new data accumulated on the radiation levels, officials said.
Yukio Edano senior government spokesman said the new withdrawal will take place the next few months, including Iitate village, located 40 km from the station, as well as parts of Kawamata city.
"There is no need to evacuate immediately," he told a news conference, but added that some concerns about the long-term health risks.

Shortly after the latest quake, the state stopped to observe a minute of silence, I remember nearly 28,000 dead or missing on March 11 disaster.

Prime Minister Naoto Kan thanked the world for the support of people around the world.
In seven newspapers around the world an open letter, he said, when the support is in a desperate courage to bring hope and encouragement.
"Through our own efforts and with the help of the international community, Japan will recover back even stronger. And then we will repay your generosity to help you," he wrote.
"With our hearts, we now stand together, committed to rebuilding the country."
The official death toll from the disaster, 13,127, and 14,348 still missing. More than 150,000 people homeless.
The Prime Minister also tried to appease the survivors, fishing - which many in the region depend on their livelihoods - will resume as soon as possible.

But the damage of nuclear power plants have hit the fishing industry, public and international buyers ditch the fear of contamination than Japanese food.
